At The Oak Planters (T.O.P.), we believe that indeed, mighty oaks grow from little acorns when we provide a safe and creative space for our learners with specific learning differences to grow at their own pace.
We believe too that when we value and respect each learner's unique cultural backgrounds and circumstances, we gain a deeper understanding of their interests and motivations which help them learn better.

The Oak Planters had a special guest recently! We were delighted to host Erin Rothwell, Co-Director of Learning Support at Maryvale Preparatory School (United States), where she oversees academic support for students in Grades 6–12. Erin specializes in executive functioning, ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety-related learning challenges.
Our educational therapists enjoyed an enriching professional exchange with Erin as we shared best practices for supporting learners with a range of specific learning differences and learned from one another. It was especially insightful to hear how Maryvale Preparatory School supports its middle and high school students with learning differences through both small-group and whole-class approaches.
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from one another and look forward to many more meaningful collaborations that ultimately benefit the learners we serve!
