Daniel is a nurturing educational therapist who takes time to engage and listen to his students. In addition to integrating the Orton-Gillingham approach in his intervention, he believes that building trust is an important first step in learning. When students feel comfortable, they are more willing to ask questions and participate.

Before moving into the education space, Daniel spent more than 20 years working in regional project management, sales and marketing. He left the corporate world to dedicate his time and attention to his children as a stay-at-home parent. As they grew older, he was able to dedicate his time to explore his long-standing interest in education and subsequently contributed as a flexi-adjunct educational therapist at Dyslexia Association of Singapore. He is an Associate Member with the Register of Educational Therapist (Asia).

Outside of teaching, Daniel enjoys sketching, painting, cycling and spending time outdoors, and sometimes brings these interests into his sessions too. He believes a shared hobby or interest is a good way to connect with a student, spark their curiosity and make learning more relatable.

For Daniel, teaching is not just about helping students understand a lesson. It is about building their confidence and helping them see that they can learn, improve and make progress in their own way.
